Kirloskar Brothers bags order of Rs 338.92cr
Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), India’s largest manufacturer and exporter of pumps and pumping systems, has acquired the mandate of the Rajiv Sagar Lift Irrigation Project, from the government of Andhra Pradesh, Irrigation and C.A.D. Department. The project will irrigate 80,000 hectares of land in the Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh, at the order value of Rs 338.92 crores.
The Rajiv Sagar Lift Irrigation Project work is entrusted to KBL as a Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, and the scope of work involved Construction of pumping station at intake at Pamulapally, Intermediate pumping stations at Golagudem, Karakavagu, Singabhupalem, Bethampudi, Lalithapuram, Subsidiary pumping station at Sudimalla Peddacheruvu and Maddukur, design, supply, installation testing and commissioning of pump machinery, pump house, along with the site development work..
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, M. D. KBL has a long association with the Government and people of Andhra Pradesh. KBL has in the recent past successfully completed work on the Thota Venkatachalam Pushkara Lift Irrigation Scheme and is currently working on The Devdhula Lift Irrigation Scheme, which is the second largest scheme in the world in terms of total lift. It is India’s highest lift irrigation scheme.
