Genus Power Infrastructures Limited (formerly known as Genus Overseas Electronics Limited), one of the largest producers of metering solution systems, power back-up systems and turkey project in power distribution sector in India, today announced its results for Q4/ Year Ended March 31, 2008.

Results overview Year FY 2007-08 v/s Year FY 2006-07:
The company has posted an excellent financial performance for year ended March 31, 2008.Income from operations increased by 36% to Rs. 4832.81 million in the present year from Rs. 3571.33 million reported in the corresponding previous year.

The Profit After Tax has increased by 86 % in the present year to Rs. 516.06 million from Rs.277.56 million reported in the year 2006-07.

EPS for the year is at Rs.41.64.

The Board reviewed the total order book position of worth Rs.417 crore including turnkey projects. The Company has already participated in tenders more than worth Rs. 4839 Crore, out of which the Company is already ‘L-1’ in orders worth Rs.450 crore.

Commenting on the performance for year Ended March 31, 2008, Mr. Rajendra Kumar Agarwal, Executive Director, Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, said:

“With the improved productivity, Genus has had another successful year, where our revenues have been driven by development across various segment with improved earnings.

Genus would report a strong growth going forward in both its top and bottom line on the back of successful business strategy.

We recorded higher levels of efficiencies, which are sustainable, and our business model has been structured to produce more at relatively lower levels of fixed and variable costs. Given the strength of our operations and encouraging levels of customer demand, we remain positive on the performance outlook going forward.”
