Era Infra Engineering Ltd. through their construction & contracts division in joint venture with KMB, Ukraine has bagged a contract for the construction of New Expandable Modular Integrated Terminal Building at Raipur Airport, Raipur. The Rs 129 crore worth tender was floated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The scope of work includes Civil, Sanitary, Plumbing, Internal & External Electrification, HVAC System, PA & CCTV System, Fire Detection and Fire Fighting System, Elevators, Escalators, Baggage Conveyor System etc.The project, part of the effort of the country to create modern airports at all major centres and state capitals, is scheduled to be completed by September 2009.

Commenting on the contract, Mr. T D Arora, Head, Construction & Contracts Division, Era Infra Engineering Limited, said, “The demand for quality infrastructure with international standards has taken utmost importance in the aviation sector. This contract will be our second assignment in this sector after the Pune airport renovation contract. We are thankful to the Airports Authority of India for giving us this opportunity yet again. We look forward to deliver the committed standards of performance and quality.”
