Blue Star Infotech implements platform for GTL Infra
Blue Star Infotech (BSI), a leading provider of IT Solutions and Services in the Indian market and an Oracle Certified Partner, announced today that it has successfully implemented the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i for GTL Infrastructure.
With plans for rapid growth, GTL Infrastructure required a scalable enterprise system designed to increase user efficiency and build a foundation for additional process improvements and business optimization. The business required the first phase to be completed within three and half months. BSI completed this and the other phases within the stipulated time frames and enabled GTL Infrastructure to implement a streamlined solution to establish the transaction backbone.
According to Mr. Savio Furtado, Chief Information Officer, GTL Infrastructure:- “GTL Infrastructure, established in 2004, is the pioneer in Shared Telecom Infrastructure in India and offers ready to use passive infrastructure to wireless telecom operators. The group has standardized on Oracle as a platform, and at GTL Infrastructure, we have implemented Oracle Financials and Oracle Purchasing modules and are currently in an advanced stage of our Oracle Inventory implementation. All these implementations were carried out with the expertise of BSI, who was chosen based on our group’s prior engagement experience with them and also for the fact that they provided the most competitive price points. Besides the implementation, our maintenance and support activities with respect to the Oracle suite are also outsourced to BSI. ”
According to Satish Gaonkar, Vice President, Consulting Services Practice of BSI :- “Our strong process knowledge and expertise in implementing the Oracle solution enabled us to achieve yet another on-time ERP implementation. This implementation allows GTL Infrastructure to improve internal efficiencies and provide a firm backbone to support their growth. Our 2 year relationship with the parent company equipped us with a strong understanding of the business and therefore resulted in a smooth implementation.”
