Axis Bank reduces its Benchmark rates of interest
Axis Bank has decreased its benchmark rates of interest with effect from 14th February 2008. The Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (PLR) has been reduced by 25 basis points while the Mortgage Reference Rate (MRR) has gone down by 50 basis points.
The new PLR stands at 14.75 % while the new MRR stands at 12.75 %. Consequently the Home Loan floating rate of interest has been reduced by 50 basis points for both prospective and existing customers. The existing customers of the Bank who have availed of Home loans with floating rate of interest can benefit from the reduced rates with effect from 1st April 2008.
