Anjani Portland posts turnover up by 50% to Rs 30.43cr
Anjani Portland Cement Ltd (BSE: 518091) announced 66 % net profit after tax jump in its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 at its Board Meeting held today. Fuelled by the rapid growth, the Company on a stand-alone basis has posted a gross turnover of Rs 30.43 crores for the quarter-ended 31.12.2007 showing an increase of over 50% over the turnover of the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
The consolidated turnover of Anjani Portland Cement Limited including the wholly owned subsidiaries viz., Vennar Ceramics Ltd & Hitech Print Systems Ltd, has crossed Rs 100 crores and posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 15.41 crores for the 9 months period in the current year.
Cumulatively, the sales for nine months ended as on December 31, 2007, has increased to Rs. 89.22 crores showing a quantum jump of 50% as against Rs. 59.63 crores for the same period in the previous year. The net profit of the company for the quarter also outperformed Q2 by 89 %.
The company during the month of January 2008 has graduated to a “ Major Cement Plant” from a ‘mini cement plan’ in view of crossing the threshold limit of despatches for a mini cement plant.
Pleased to announce the Q3 performance of the company, Mr. Vishnu Raju, Managing Director said, “The first 9 months of 07-08 have been encouraging for us at Anjani with the first nine months indicating an impressive 50% increase in turnover. Propelled by our strong performance in the business and the expansion plans, the future prospects of the company are most encouraging.”
