Mahavir Jayanti marks the birth of Mahavira (Indian sage Vardhamana) who established the central tenets of Jainism.

On Monday, market closed with smart gains on the back of strong global cues with the BSE Sensex adding almost 10% or ~966 points in the last four trading session.
The BSE Sensex advanced 186 points to close at 10,534 and the NSE Nifty was up 45 points at 3,256
