Dow ends at 18-month high
The US markets rallied on Wednesday, with the Dow closing at 10888, stronger by 102 points, Nasdaq ended at 2415, higher by 19 points and S&P shut shop at 1174, up eight points.
The Dow has gained in 10 out of the past 11 sessions and is now, along with S&P, trading at 18-month highs.
The Indian ADRs ended mixed. Patni Computers closed at $24, stronger by $1 or 4.2%, Dr Reddy’s ended at $28, higher by $0.6 or 2.1% and Sterlite shut at $18, up $0.2 or 1.2%.
On the other hand, MTNL ended at $3.2, weaker by 1.2% and ICICI Bank ended at $40, lower by 1%.
