India's fiscal deficit from April to February was 2.75 trillion rupees ($61.7 billion), or 68.6 percent of the full-year target, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
Net tax receipts were 4.61 trillion rupees and total expenditure was 9.79 trillion rupees during the first 11 months of the current financial year, which ends on Thursday.
The government, in its February budget, has forecast a fiscal deficit of 5.1 percent of gross domestic product in the 2010/11 financial year and 4.6 percent in the next fiscal year that begins in April.@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
