Hi NVP,
CE means call European type option and PE means Put European type option.
One buys Call option when he is expecting rise in the index and buys put option in case he is expecting fall in index.

European type Call and Put options are those which can be squared off on any day before or on the day of expiry while the other type is American type which can be squared off only on the day of expiry.
