I see some desperate and frantic queries when some traders are stuck up with huge positions in the wrong direction. May be the following suggestion may help them. Long time back I read something known as two page notes method for traders. It is like this:

For day traders: Write down two page notes reviewing the day's trades and the observations about success and failures before you go to bed. Just routine and unbiased review without any self criticism and self pity. This will keep your logic and capital intact. Do not enter into any trade unless you have a two page note in the scrip/s you are interested relating the price behavior in the past 180 trading days to its likely behavior for the next day and update this every day.

For investors with borrowed funds:
Adopt the two page notes method reviewing your portfolio as frequently as needed by your goals on return expected and the cost of funds involved.

For long term investors: Relax and watch the street fights everyday. Go for the kill when your goals are met or when you need funds. After all the prices of scrips like SBI and Reliance never become zero or Rs. 10000 overnight.
