Public sector lender Bank of India will announce its first quarter (April-June) earnings today. According to CNBC-TV18 poll estimates, analysts expect profit after tax of the bank to fall 27 percent year-on-year to Rs 701 crore during the quarter from Rs 964 crore in same quarter last year. Net interest income, the difference between interest earned and interest expended, may rise 21 percent to Rs 3,070.6 crore from Rs 2,537 crore during the same period due to loan growth being above industry.
