Hi DVIJI, Dont go with the last traded price as expiry closure. The adjusted closure price of F&O is available in the daily bhavcopy. The closing price indicates that adjusted closing would be near 10000.
Hi STREET DON, Nifty Future premium/discount is not determined when you compare adjusted closing of Nifty Spot with Last traded price of futures. You need to compare the difference between adjusted closing of futures as well which is available in daily bhavcopy. As of now it seems adjusted closing of July futures would likely be near 5160. I will post the same when I download bhavcopy in the evening.

Hi CB, GOOD EVENING SIR,
I HAVE ALSO A QUESTION... LOOK AT SBI CE AND PE OF 2100 OF JUNE SERIES.. SBI CLOSED AT 2095 LEVEL.. BUT SBI 2100 PE ACHIEVED TARGET BUT IT IS ALSO IN ZERO POSITION.. WHY ?

Hi SR, you mean if we not squared off till expiry then we have to pay penalty also... suppose i have SBI 2100 PE and i did not sell it.. SBI closed at 2095.... PE rate is around 0.05.
Then how much should i pay to broker... remeber i did not sell it on expiry day.

Hi STREET DON, Yes. Spot closing is not used but F&O adjusted closing is used. Your option would be exersiced and its value is converted to futures value. As such STT would be charged at futures value and not on the option face value.
Note: This is not the case when you write options as STT is only charged on the selling leg.

Hi SR, One last question.. I downloaded bhav copy and i saw SBI 2100 ce and pe closing price.... i.e. 2100 CE at 1.80 and 2100 PE at 2.55. If anybody did not sell then will he get money after deducting STT on closing price.. ? ?
I dont know much about option strategy and not take risk in options.
