Dear brother, look at Nifty today....thru out in red and in narrow range....(mostly between -25 and -15)....so I feel it will be risky for new trades. You already have a position in Tata Steel. Remember what Robotguy told ...never more the 2 trades in a day. For today, I think only 1 trade will be best. I do only 2 trades in a day...even on bull days. Never more than 2. If u do more number of trades, there r always chances of losses...even loss of profit made in other trades. I have made rs.425 in todays trade in star (could have been a great trade if I had bought the usual 150 qty (rs.75000). If I over trade, I will loss this profit. So better trade more tomorrow with a fresh mind.
One question to you....Do you trade all trades with a fixed amount? For example, I usually always trade for rs.75000 per stock.

Hi Rojes, Zerodha offer flat brokerage of Rs.20 per trade (irrespective of volume). For F&O intra-day it gives more than 20 times exposure and if you can keep stop loss order along with the BUY order you can get 50 time exposure.

Now STT 429 × 125 × .00025= 13 rs.
Now stamp duty n other charges
Total traded value I.e , 125 × 2 × 428.5 × .000214 = 22 rs. Approx...

So total expense is = 42 + 5 + 13 + 22 = around 82 rs.

My today's loss was 125 × 3 + 82 = 457 rs.

So if u trade 105000 rs. Trade..
Brokerage is same 42
Service tax is same 5
STT will be on buying value 25 rs aprrox
Other charges 45 rs. Approx

So expense is 42+5+25+45= around 110rs.

I think it is minimum Rs.21...if the amount of trade is more, then the % brokerageis calculated....e.g...if buy value is for 3 lakhs, then brokerage will not be rs.21...it will be .02% of 3 lakhs....i.e rs.60.....and equivalent while selling.

Good, So now u have an idea about the brokrages....see how much money u can save by getting a low cost brokerage. Any flat rate brokerage is good enough. If u want zerodha, pls go to their web site. Do a google search and u will get the site. All details are there. Also the contact numbers.....even I am thinking of shifting to zerodha....but for me the difference in brokerage is negligible (I am getting 0.15 and 0.015 currently...Zerodha is 0.1 and 0.01) if the volume in a script is high then it is very very economical.
