Hi Kartik, You missed my query. As mentioend, as of now I am waiting Lanco infra to cross 72 or even 74 level so that I can cover some loss.. BTW, when we can see 100+ in Lanco Infra? Today also I made some loss and over all I am in 17k loss now.. I shud hv covered this today but cud not as Lanco did not cross 68 (or even 67). Now my Lanco can be sold by IndiaBulls at any time.. (may be tomorrow also )

Hi suzane, While it is not possible (or may not be very easy or may take years) for a share to get back to original value after becoming face value as 1, it can still give you same kind of profit. But if you take example of Sesa Gao, it gave 225% Bonus just before split (that time it was trading above 4000), then it got split so the new price was around 100 instead of 400+. Now again it is at 400+ and even touched 500 (490).. So you can consider that it is more or less trading at 2000 after split (without bonus).. Which is half the original price..

Hi suzane, Face value helps the company to divide its capital into shares, eg in 10 parts, hence it is treated as 10rs, this is called the face value of the share. If a company wants to make a public capital of 100rs, and decides to split it in 10 parts, then its face value will be 10 (with a total of 100) shares, when a stock is split, its face value is also reduced, due to the change in the public capital pattern. There are chances that a stock might again to a price near its before split value, this normally happens for Fundamentally strong bets (but in the Long run, say 5+ years)
