Hi ARIJIT DAS, Min of 50k for Nifty and 20k for MINI Nifty required without MTM maintenance. Going long is buying nifty/stock in expectation of increase in index/stock price and short is selling in expectation of decrease in index/stock price.

I MEAN TO SAY IF I LONG NIFTY AT 4500 AND IT GOES 5000 I GAIN 50 POINTS.....

Hi ARIJIT DAS, You gain not 50 points but 500 points.
Every point has Rs. 50 gain/loss in NIFTY depending on your position and Rs. 20/- per point in MINI NIFTY. So your gain for 500 points would be (500*50)=25000 in NIFTY apart from your investment.
