No connection between what charts foretell and what is actually happening.....right from cricket matches to stock prices i seem to get the feeling everything is rigged....and as for not cutting losses in time....this is like saying sales team is more efficient as they bring revenue rather than purchase team as they cut losses....moral of the story .....if one doesnt trade with a SL and only with hope...in the long term one always losses....this appears to be my second huge loss after the Unitech Shamble last month.....how many future lots are you holding?

hi DS, really sorry to know that, honestly speaking i have just started trading since last may and till end of dec lost 1 lakh due to my haste and no patience and investing the entire amts in one single script, that time i was not doing intraday, i was a short term player, from this jan started doing intraday rigorously, infact you are grt that u still invested in the crash and earned it back, i would have just left sharemkt which i was thinking to do so when i lost 1 lakh, but experience teaches us all to be patient and do trading with whtever money we have and not on any margins to play....but still gread takes it over and we do go on with it./.......But need to stop immediately with teh loss which we can digest before it makes us mad......

Infact i want kartik and chirag to really hold one session to us all on how to choose a trade for intraday and short term.....Long term players are safe....Sharemkt is unpredictable no doubt but we need to decide how much we need to make on daily basis for eg 500 -1000 bucks, once it is made, just close it...... or take advantage when the mkt is gud and vice versa not to do anything when the things are not working as per we want...... I hope i was not too much......This is my experience....

Hi jame, if you short a stock and do not cover it the same day, then it will go for auction on the 3rd day. whatever the price of the stock is on the 3rd day, it will be covered at that rate. if it moves higher then you will be at a loss, if it comes down then could profit a bit. but inform your broker about it. some brokers charge 20% of total amt as penalty. if you buy a stock you can keep it for 2-3 days, but you cannot sell a stock and keep it for 2-3 days.

Hi Umesh, dear according to my view u can decrease the chances of ur loss.....
do one thing dont wait for 3rd day auction relust.. Let it be whatever it is ... Coz u cant be 100% in profit ... If that share moves up u will be in loss.... if possible BUY same amount of share tommorow and hold it ... If that share moves up u will be in loss in ur auction but at the same time u would be in profit of ur tommorow bought share and thus ur loss will be subtracted.... If i would be at ur place i would have done that ... Think about it ... I think this might be more profitable and low risk for u...

Hi Umesh, as u have shorted the stock.. The amount will be credited in ur account tommorow .. May be possible broker will give u limit to buy tommorow ... Try if u wish to buy ... coz ur limit is being set on ur credit amount.. And u will be credited tommorow...
