European Markets Seen Lower After Euro Zone Protests Erupt
European shares are called to open in negative territory on Wednesday after police and anti-austerity protesters clash in Spain.
European shares are set to continue a trend of mixed trading as concerns grow over Spain’s debt woes and increasing volatility in the euro zone.
In Greece too, public pressure is building as two of the largest public and private sector unions are preparing to hold a 24-hour strike against austerity on Wednesday.
The FTSE [.FTSE 5859.71 20.87 (+0.36%) ] is called down 41 points at 5,819, the German DAX [.GDAXI 7425.11 11.95 (+0.16%) ] down 60 points at 7,365 and the French CAC 40 [.FCHI 3513.81 --- UNCH ] down 33 points at 3,481.
