Hi Kumar SS, Generally works, unless the scrip goes range bound. ... Futures would gain if the trade goes right, but option will not reduce as much. But if the trade goes wrong the option would increase almost as much as the loss in futures. Always ITM / ATM options should be used in this case.

`Nifty Futures started the current series with 22.2 million shares in open interest. The September series started off with an open interest of Rs 260.4 billion in stock futures, Rs 107.44 billion in Nifty futures, Rs 484.81 billion in index options and Rs 13.36 billion in stock options. The Nifty`s current month rollover stands at 70.88% vs previous series` rollover at 71.90%,
The market wide rollover was 84.74% vs 86.03% in case of the previous series.
