    HI KK / PKP / Rajat Gilani,

    When ever you buy / sell the options during First and second week, compulsorily you have to straddle. Ex: today Nifty closed @6238. So you can sell the 6200CE and 6200PE. And buy the 6300CE, 6100PE. This way you will never get the losses.. You will get the profits one or two weeks. If the market grows / down also you will not loose single a money.

    Same can be applied for Stock options also.

    For shorting the options it will require huge money. But sure you will get the profits.

    HI KK/ PKP/ Rajat Gilani,

    Another compulsory profit with futures like orbitrage.

    Ex: Starting weeks there is lot of difference between stock future price & Cash price. In this scenario, You can short the 1 future and buy same quantity in cash price. Before expiry they will become equal. Ex: SBI cash will be @1520, and Future will be some where @1530.. So you will get the1530 -1520=10 * 125.

    If you trade inteligently then you can book the profit on future, if the market goes down.. If market goes up you can book the profit on Cash.

    Drawback: This is also requires huge money. Thanks Suresh

    Another more important thing is we are buying puts / calls without calculation.
    Please follow this basic rules.
    When ever you want to buy a call, ex: SBI 1500CE@100, you have to short SBI1550CE@55 (means near by prices). Always treat his as stoploss or Hedge.

    Same for PUTS. More important thing 1st and 2nd week option premium rates are very high. So please do the straddle method. Thanks Suresh

    I had sold Nifty 6350 CA @ 40
    May be I had sold it with out Nifty actually giving a sell signal.
    Any strategy to minimize or cover up the loss. What the strong resistance for Nifty, may be above that I try to book loss and exit. Please suggest.

    Hi lavanya, yes, these are a hold. they have been removed from nifty 50 list. they will trade as normal.
