Rollover Analysis
Highlights
Nifty Futures started the current series with 2.50 crore shares in open interest.
The February series started off with an open interest of Rs27,499 crore in stock futures, Rs12,914 crore in Nifty futures, Rs45,111 crore in index options and Rs2,078 crore in stock options.
The Nifty's current month rollover stands at 73.76% vs last month's rollover at 67.37%.
The market wide rollover was 81.81% vs 80.67% last month.
The strongest rollover was seen in textiles, infrastructure, transport and media stocks.
Fertilisers, cement, reality, and FMCG stocks witnessed poor rollovers to the next series.
The highest price change on the positive side was in IVRCL Infrastructure, Nagarjuna Construction Company, Lanco Infrastructure, Suzlon Energy, and HDIL.
Dabur, TCS, IGL and Hindustan Uniliver were among the top price losers.
