sir what about the delivery of stock ? i bought the 100 stock of tatacoffee on friday and sold these 100 share yesterday (monday) . but my broker is saying that the 100 tatacoffee that i sold yesterday was shortsell because the share i bought on friday not delivered in my account and now i have to give penelty because this has gone in auction . If it is right then anyone buy the share today can not sell tomorrow ??? as i bought on friday and sold on monday that is next trading day after friday..

Hi puneet, oh yes, it usually takes 2-3 days for the stock to show up in your account, you need can sell the share only once its show up in your demant account, else it will be treated as a new order ( short sell), since you didnt buy the stock as BTST, you will need to hold it till Friday, also confirm with your broker
