Hi Gitanjali,
In your example where nifty closes at 6100 on expiry,
If you sell 4900 call :
Your loss will be (6000 - premium received) per lot sold.
If you sell 4900 put :
Your gain will be the premium received per lot sold.

Hi yogesh, ok. options are volatile. yes, keep sl at 1145 on cash levels of icici. if icici does manage to cross this level, exit the put. by then the put may come down to levels of 2-3. yes, if markets are a bit weak on Monday and icici comes down by 12-18 rs, put can see 10-12rs

Indian Hotels Company Ltd has clarified to BSE that the Company has received the amounts due on allotment and has allotted the following securities to the main promoter, viz. Tata Sons Ltd. in accordance with the provisions of SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2009:
(a) 3,60,00,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of Rs. 1 each at a premium of Rs. 102.64 per share aggregating to Rs. 103.64 per share; and
(b) 4,80,00,000 Warrants, where each Warrant would entitle Tata Sons Ltd. to subscribe to one Ordinary Share of the Company at a price Rs. 1 each at a premium of Rs. 102.64 per Share, after April 01, 2011 but not later than 18 months from the date of allotment of the Warrants.
Does this mean Indian Hotels can see 102 in the near future?

Hi Venkatagee, it means that the promoters have been given shares around 104 (they have not been allotted from the Markets), also the announcement has been made during Markets hours, so its not going to have a impact on the share price
