Hi,
Could you please advise me what is Bonus Issue. There is a stock called Aarti Drugs Ltd which announced 1:1 Bonus with record date 26 March 2015, however the stock price closed at 1345 yesterday, but today the stock is trading at 635 which appears to be splitted. what i would like to know is if i have Aarti Drugs 100 shares @ 1345 prior to record date, what is the benefit i will get from this bonus issue announcement.
I had invested 134500 prior to bonus announcement, please let me know what should be the value of my Holdings for 100 shares purchased at 1345

Dear Sai
Dont worry your money is safe and not a single share is lost instead you gain 100 more.
Bonus 1:1 = for one share you have you get 1 more
so you if you 100 at 1365
after splitting 1;1 price is divided and your quantity of shares doubled.
so you get 100 more total of 200 shares now you will have. Price then will be 559 per share will be quoted in your portfolio.
