Hi Kb Trader, i am using sharekhan, well it does not matter.arbi is good when traded in high volume.It is where the same stock is sold for slightly different prices in different exchanges.well there are different types, dividend Arbitrage makes use of lower cost of hedging in order to lock in a higher dividend gain risk free.Arbitrage is a safe technique where the capital deployed is protected and the returns achieved are attractive compared to other conventional avenues.It requires specialized skills on part of arbitrageurs.The basic meaning of arbitrage is buying where price of a stock is low and selling where price of the stock is high and reversing the above created position when the spread gets lower.
this will help you.the questions you asked are not relative to what we are talking about.

Hi rays, thanks.. i never tried cross market arbitrage.. but i used to test other types, even i got 3/4 months data of options arbitrage spreads too . also done a minor research on cross market price difference.. but didn't get any good volume stock yet, in that case trading in thousands of shares wont be that easy.. letc, will check that too. thanks for broker names.

Hi rays, "the simultaneous buying and selling of securities, currency, or commodities in different markets or in derivative forms in order to take advantage of differing prices for the same asset"
>> buying in nse & selling in bse is just like buying form one shop & selling it in another, just a skill of fastness.. but in derivative forms, its bit tuff to find those spreads. i mentioned about those :)

Hi Kb Trader, hmm.most welcome.For arbitrage to work an inequality in price of the same security must exist.When a security is underpriced in another market you simply buy the underpriced security in that market and then sell it at the market price in this market simultaneously in order to reap a risk free profit.There are situations where nifty futures is trading at a discount to underlying spot nifty and its constituent stock futures are trading at a premium to underlying spot prices.Here one can create a long position in Nifty futures and simultaneous short positions in its underlying stock futures taking advantage of the basis between the two.hese positions can either be reversed or at expiration of near month, they shall automatically be squared up by exchange at the closing prices.Sometimes the stock futures trade at discount to its underlying spot prices such opportunities rise when the demand for a stock is more than its supply.In such cases if one holds such stock one can buy the same in futures market and sell it simultaneously in spot market.Cash–Futures Arbitrage,Reverse Cash-Futures Arbitrage,Index Arbitrage works good.

Hi cerulean, You are welcome. Did not have a chat with DJ. Will do so soon. I am having a nice evening and not taking long walks with Jhonny. Rather the walks are short :)
Thanks for showing this much care. Never expected this from anybody. But come Saturday, and you mentioned... thanks ever so much :)
Lets see if I can stop walking... on second thought, I think I should stop walking :}
Thanks a lot. God bless :)

Hi SM, No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. (not even Jhonny)
