Hi gayaram, Futures of Nifty is traded in Singapore Stock Exchange (aka SGX NIFTY). It starts trading there at around 8 am IST. It provides valuable cues as to where we are heading. Also global ques (US, Asian & European markets) come into play. Last but not the least, taking all these ques, traders participate in the pre-opening session of NSE, to deternime the opening prices of stocks in Indices and Nifty as a whole. All these factors decide overall, whether we open gap-up or gap-down. Hope this info helps...

Hi palanivel, Closing is okay. would have been stronger near 480 levels. 500 is quite unlikely this expiry, would advise to exit on rise tomorrow.
Hi gayaram, Openings are decided by global cues. Generally global cues are factored during trading session and close, but global cues may change during off-market hours.
Go to go for now... Will be back later ... Take care All!

Hi Aravind, Are you talking about physical gold through online trading?
Abdullah Says:

Hi Aravind, If you are talking of buying physical gold through online(trading), there is a possibility. There is an Exchange known as "National Spot Exchange". They provide trading in something known as E-GOLD. Here, you buy the commodity (Gold) online, and hold it in demat form in your demat A/C. But this is a special kind of demat A/C. Your old demat A/C, where you hold shares, mutual funds etc., will not do. You have to open a separate demat A/C. Now, after you have purchased E-GOLD, you have 2 options.
1) Sell the gold electronically (obviously when prices rise)
2) Take delivery in physical form
You need to locate a trading member of that exchange (broker) and open a trading and demat A/C with him.

In the main page of this website, somewhere on the top right side, click on the tab (link) e-Series. Better still, gather as much info as you can from the whole website.
Hope this helps...
