just tell me for example If on 23rd X co. declare record date of Divend on 12th of next month, in what case we will gate dividend like holding should be before 23rd or holding after 23rd and till 13th i.e after record date will get dividend?

Hi CB, yeah i can get dividend on those 2500 shares in cash ... If i buy it tommorow ..surely i will get delivery before 31st

Do u mean if anyone buy cash as well as future.. They dont get dividend for it ?
Thats true dividends are not paid for futures but what about the holding in cash ??

Hi suzane, no, I am not sure if you will get dividend if you enter the stock now. you need to enter it before the dividend is declared. ill confirm with the broker. dividend is only got for stocks hold in cash market.
