Investment will be around 1 to 2 lakhs.

To sell Axis Bank 2100 CALL @ Rs. 12 (lot size = 250).
You need to get 10 times the actual value of the option premium, i.e., 250 * 12 * 10 = 30,000.

Here you can get maximum profit will be Rs. 250 * 12 = 3000
After excluding a brokerage of Rs.100, you can get a net gain of Rs. 2900

But most of the times, we don't wait till the expiry. I always square-off the position when we get 60 - 70% of the maximum possible profit in aany position. There by we can release margin blocked and can take position in other better option writing.

CB...when I see the price of 2500call it shows 60 on terminal ...but when I see net position page...it shows the amount = Number of lot shares * 86....ideally it should show "Number of lot shares * 60....

not sure where this 86 came into picture...whole day I was watching...the price on the terminal is different from the amount it shows in the net position page......that is the confusion.....

Yes, everyone know that, I lost my capital due to clerical error on May 26, Since then, I took a breathe and started a blog to earn little money from blogging. Funnily, I got $0.50 (around Rs.26) for my last 15 - 20 days effort.

I feel, there will be only on problem comes with MARGIN. But one may not enter all the calls provided, but entering one after other also gives good returns compared to the amount of time spent on the trading platform. That matters a lot.

On the other side, about the advisory services's strategy is different. They don't have much time and interest to take position in every call they give. They take position selectively thus avoid risk.

At the end of the day, you have to look for the traded voumes for the last 30 days and for today. Most of these kind of stocks are of small cap and trades in less volumes. If you like to try, invest Rs.2000 in it and follow the call. Max loss in a day can be 20% lower circuit i.e., Rs.400

Painful to hear your loss. Though your question is to CB, wish to just a note here. Most of stock market players get through such experiences. Keep invested in reasonably gud scripts at dips and wait for a reasonable profit and get out of it. Again look for the next opportunity, invest, wait , take out what ever profits you can carry. Targets, Bottoms & Tops are just imaginary. Never met a person who could time the mkt. This is what I learned from the mkt during these years. Met with investment accidents (mild & severe) lot many times . Its the cautious driving which saves you in mkt, not predictions. Option is hedging tools against your longs/shorts. Playing with such tools can be fatal if not used correctly for what it is meant for. Be regular follower of mkt, scripts and developments. Enter cautiously exit wisely. Dont get trapped in "greed & fear" . Hope my intrusion may help you . Best of luck and Happy Investment (Not Trading).
