Hi vipul, Ex-dividend date of Ashok leyland was 12/7/2012. So, only if you had the shares in your demat account on that date, are you eligible for the dividend. Book Closure is the period when the process of dividend pay-outs take place.

I hold few shares of coromandel fertliser from past 1 and half month,i have heard that the company has announced 3 rs dividend and bonus debentures worth 15 rs..
can u please explain what actually are bonus debentures and how different are they when compared to bonus shares and can i trade them.?
