You bought 100 shares of SBI @ 2100 and you are expecting the SBI stock price reach to 2175 and like to keep the stoploss as 2082.

If the stock price rises, you need to update your stoploss near to the current market price, This way you can be protected from the sudden falls in Nifty. Hope it makes sense :-)

As per my broker, it is possible to set a trailing SL only on a particular type of Order and an order made with trailing SL will be squared off at 3:15 @ CMP if SL or Target is not hit by 3:15p.m. Such an order is used only by Intraday traders and in such cases we cannot take the stock as BTST...(Please clarify if it is correct)

In today's case, I bought Axis Bank @ 1499.50 and was continuously monitoring it. It neither met the target nor hit CB Sir's SL of 1483. Finally I manged to exit it @ 1498.10 with minimal loss. I think if I had the stock with a Trailing SL, it would have automatically squared off at 3:15 p.m at a price less than 1483. Am I correct on this?

Further many of CB sir's calls may have to be taken as BTST as per his advice. So does a "Trailing SL buy" will work for his calls?

Please explain if the above stated matter is correct or not
