hi CB, today i have buy 4200 pe @ Rs.9.15 & 4100 pe @Rs. 4.90 at morning which are expiry on 29-12-11, but later the fact the price came much lower, should i exit tomorrow or day after tomorrow or wait to see the profit atleast Rupees 20-25 each within the expiry.......please reply

Hi airbites, 4700PE closed at 134.55 whereas the previous close was 127.75. You can check nseindia dot com for details.
An option's price depends on six variables mainly. These are:
1)The value of the underlying, Nifty in this case
2)The strike price of the option
3)Time to maturity or expiry
4)The risk free interest rate prevailing in the market
5)The dividend yield on the underlying, Nifty again in this case
6)The one-month implied volatility of the underlying, Nifty again in this case
Taking a look at Black-Scholes formula will definitely assist you in understanding the concept better.

wat will be tmrw plan...holding 1 lot of 4700CE @72.80...ny chance it will cross 82 mark within 2 days...or will sell it on the rise makin a small loss....any other PE or CE to cover the losses...

Hi ani, Keep SL at 4560-4550 and adopt a sell on rise strategy. As it is now OTM, theta decay will be fast. See Kartik's reply also
