Hi Kumar SS, Better not to enter any option for next week, today. By Nifty ETF, I guess you meant NIFTYBEES. If so, YES, it is good. Market direction does affect the performance of this fund, because, this fund deploys money in all the 50 stocks of Nifty according to weightage and market capitalisation. The beat way to invest in this fund is by a SIP. You can enter at 4700-4800 spot Nifty levels. For best results, dont stop your SIP but continue for a long time, say for example 2-3 years. Hope this helps...

Buy fundamentally good large caps on dips in 3 or 4 phases. Also don't invest in a single stock. Keep your portfolio diversified. Some of the good large caps would be Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Reliance, HDFC Bank.

Hi Abdullah, The candle formed on Nifty chart is almost a doji. Moreover, during a strong rally or a decline, if a candle is formed wherein wicks are way off the 3-period ema, gives a strong reversal signal. Also the lower wick of the candle bounced off the bolinger band on the daily chart. Also the lower wick is currently testing the bolinger band on monthly charts. Also Nifty is testing the 200-week ema and 50-month ema.

Hi Sunil Rao, Thanks Sunilji for your explanations. What bothers me on the daily charts is the widening of the bollinger bands. More volatility perhaps. Or maybe according to classical explanations (John Bollinger himself), volatility may cease. Who knows what next !!! Or maybe, price will continue to follow the lower band as we have seen for the last 15-17 days !!! Well, in order to capture 95% volatility, I have used 20 SMA (+) (-) 2 sigma. The wick of Friday's candle touches the lower band, as you mentioned. But if I use 20 EMA, the lower band goes further down and Friday's low has not touched the lower band( Maybe because more recent data is taken into consideration ). Also in monthly charts, the bands are getting constricted. More volatility in longer term ? LOL :D. I think I'm going to short just below the middle band with stop, a little bit above the middle band for the target of the lower band. Again, as you mentioned, on monthly charts, if the lower band is breached, another round of bloodbath maybe !!!

Well, a bullish kumo has started to form. But as of now, its a flat top/bottom kumo. Also, its a thinner kumo. So, again lower voaltility perhaps. Lets see how the kumo develops over a few days and the price action accordingly. Lets hope the senkou span A and the senkou span B remains not far away from each other :D. Nifty will have to show REAL STRENGTH to even touch that kumo. OVERALL, YOU HAVE GIVEN A NICE, CLEAN ANALYSIS YOGI. THANKS :)

Hi Sunil Rao, The 3 period EMA is somewhere around 4926 (Nifty Fut). The upper wick of Friday's candle is at 4903.30. So, yes, as you said, way off the 3 period EMA. As and when an entry can be made, do let us know Sunil Ji :)

Hi Abdullah, GM, Market Bottoms / Tops are formed when people are least expecting. Market bottoms / tops are usually formed when the momentum turns too high. As per 50-day PWO Momentum Indicator, which closed below -1200 on friday, indicates a strong case for a upmove. 50-day PWO has never stayed below -1000 for more than 2 days in last 12 years. Last time it was below -1000 on 26/10/2008 for only 1 day. Although the PWO Momentum Indicator does not confirm the reversal, but does confirm an reactive upmove to ease off the negative momentum.

MUMBAI: Goldman Sachs has cut its target price of India's Tata Motors to Rs 774 from Rs 1,073 citing lower revenue growth outlook amid high local interest rates and global uncertainties.
"We are revising our FY12-14E EPS (earnings per share) estimates on Tata Motors by 12-14 percent mainly on lower revenue assumptions," the Wall Street bank said in a note Friday.

Tata Steel (Rs 459.2)

Tata Steel fell 3.6 per cent last week, contrary to our expectation of a corrective up-move. However, the stock is currently testing its key long-term support level of Rs 450, from which it had bounced up in June and July 2010. Daily indicators are featuring in the deep oversold levels. If the stock's current base level provides support, it can witness a corrective up move to Rs 472 and then to Rs 485. Subsequent resistance is at Rs 500. Inability to move above Rs 472 will confine the stock to a sideways move between Rs 450 and Rs 472 in the near term. Therefore, short-term traders should tread with caution in the ensuing sessions.

A conclusive breakthrough of the stock's long-term support at Rs 450 can drag it further down to Rs 400 and to Rs 380 in the medium-term.
