Hi ALL, Can anyone pls clear my doubt about FNO. I will really appreciate if someone can pls clear my doubt abt FnO.

While I noticed that you buy one lot of Options (CE or PE) at say Rs. 5, with the stock price, it may become 50, 70 or even more than 100 also in 2-3 days. But I noticed that Futures lot size is usually 500 or 1000 or 2000 but the price is same like stock price. So how we can make very good profit in futures. It is like buying 500 shares of particular stock... I guess we can make good profit in Options only and buying futures is like buying the stock...

    Hi Kb,

Basically, my goal is to use the intraday charting patterns for giving me signals in Nifty option buys. So towards this, I'm looking for a combination of technical indicators which give me reliable signals taking into account trends, sideways movements so on. I'm looking for these technical indicators along with their ideal/optimal settings to go in for intraday trading.

    Thanks,
    Indu.

Also Kb, since there are myriad of technical indicators and combinations, I don't want to get lost in them after reading the books. Basically, looking for the indicators that have been working with the senior traders here for intraday trading with pros and cons of using a particular technical combination.

    Thanks,
    Indu.

Hi Indu, macd+ bolinger is most commonly used.. even by most senior traders. indicators just indicate..macd is just difference in 2 ma. bolinger is just ma & a plot of deviation. learn chart patterns too..

Sure, thanks Kb. Below is the set up, I'm going with and using NSE Tame site for the intraday charting.

    Plotting interval: 1-mt intraday
    EMA: 3-EMA ; 15-EMA
    MACD: 26,12,9 (default setting)
Bollinger Band: 5 (period), 2 (deviation) (default setting)

Please let me know, if the above set up is fine.

    Many Thanks.
