Hi praveen, yes..if you invested in Infy, Wipro, etc you could have earned a lot of money.. you need to identify a company which will do well in coming yrs or a sector which you think would do well.. if you identify a sector which would do well in next 5 yrs down the line, you can buy the best stock in that sector and invest in it. Power, Retail looks good. Bartronics as a stock is a good bet.. almost all products now come with a bar code and will continue to come.. or something like a Gillette (men will never stop shaving), Retail sector will do well with ever increasing population.. Pharma is another sector which will be doing good.. Divide portfolio accordingly and invest

Hi ramsingh, it may see some more downside..dont invest yet

CB have a doubt i have never done short selling in my 6 months long share market career..

short sell means selling a stock which is currently not in my DP right..

I just want to knw if i short sell something and buy it at lower rate so does that reflect in my DP a/c after that..
Example i have short sold a stock named ABC @ 100
now it come to 90 and i buy it or wat do i do with that.. does it show in the DP a/c suppose i don't want to buy it then how do i calculate wat's my profit..
I have heard ppl telling cover the shorts.. tell me this also wats it abt..

Long question but felt a weekend would be the right time to ask.. As other days thr are more important queries..

    Thanks

Hi Shiv, we can only do intraday.. you cannot hold it for short term.. it won't show in ur demat account.. in case you forget to cover it the same day the broker may charge you heavily for that.,. you can hold it for short term only in Future and options.. one you sell a stock and the price comes down you need to buy it (also known as square off, cover up, short covering)

    Hi Shiv, yes..thats right

Hi shyamal, Amtek India looks oversold.. may see some bounce.. Prithive and Satyam are a hold..they can add 7-10% in short term

Hi anwer, Go for Punj Lloyd, Tata steel or HCL Tech..

Hi SJT, thanks.. yes.. Unitech will benefit. its a good bet for med/long term..cansee 140+. try entering some around 70.. in F&O one can go short on Nifty around 4380-4400 levels.

Hi ravi, yes.. if stocks opens 2-3rs higher one can buy it.. but if it opens near its target don't enter it.. update sl accordingly
