Hi airbites, no. dont go short in options. a gap up/down opening in markets can result in unlimited losses. margin also wont help much if markets see a gap up/down opening. best to enter a call/put.. in the above case you could enter a 5900 put.

Ok, so whenever i think market will go down from XYZ current levels i have to sell call.
Ex: Spot nifty at 3020, and i think nifty wont cross 3080 so i can sell CE3000, right?
