Hi K K, I meant trading becomes difficult in bonds due to huge bid ask spreads and less liquidity. This has got nothing to do with stock prices of those companies. Obviously when maturity comes, the company has to pay back the holder of those bonds. But this paying back has very little or no impact on stock prices. Traders determine price of a stock at any point in time and they rarely look at whats happening in bond markets.
Now as far as Nifty coming down to 7422 levels on July 14... Actually 7440 was a support point. Below that the next psychological support comes at 7400. As the difference between these two is only 40 points, we take 7400-7440 to be a support zone. Nifty took support in that zone and went up. As Nifty is also up today as of now, the validity of this zone as a support zone stands firm.
