I don't know whether i can add my comments to CB's advice.u can allot some amt to SIP ,some to MF,some to stocks.the loss/mistakes get compensated this way.Since money is precious & u are not an expert ,pl be careful in going for blue chips only.

if we follow swing calls posted in nseguide every month. at least it will earn up to yearly 30-35%. long term bets sometimes it gives 100-125 return but time frame will be around 2-3 years.its our luck. we have choose the stocks wisely. my opinion swing calls is best.
