On 6th april, bhel released what they called tentative or flash results(http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/results/bhel-fy15-provisional-net-profit-slips-62-to-rs-1314-cr_1349775.html). How common is it for companies to release such results before the actual quarterly results? The flash results surprised me because I have never heard about it before nor could I find any information about it on google.

And secondly, why is bhel still going strong? I mean they have posted 62% lower year on year profit!
