Hi Priyanka, I hope Tax audit u/s.44AB is not applicable to u.. it depends on total turnover Total turnover includes both profit + loss i.e. If I make a profit of Rs.50000/- and next trade I make a loss of Rs.30000/- then total turnover for Section 44AB will be Rs.50000 + Rs.30000 = Rs.80000/-
.....just check with ur CA

Hi debu, If u r doing short term trading or intraday trades I think it is 15% No tax on long term trading if u hold and sell shares for more than 12 months... but please check with your Chartered Accountant also..

Hi Indu, Let me try to answer your questions :
a) Yes, only when Technical Analysis is applied for the Underlying
b) There is nothing as "the most important technical indicators" for options trading. Any technical indicator which can depict the movement of the underlying correctly is important. Please remember, looking at charts of an option will lead you nowhere. Rather look at charts of the underlying.
c) Not sure. But can use Black - Scholes calculator for arriving at the fair value of options. But too many variables are there. Traders rarely use this. You can get Black-Scholes calculator by searching on the web or in your trading terminal if your broker provides it
d) Not sure of any site or software. Even if you manage to to get hold of one, you can never be sure of the reliability factor.

Hi SM,
Thank you for the inputs. Do you have any suggestions for some good books which deal with options and technical analysis, I would prefer books which are simple and at a beginners level.
Many Thanks,
Indu.
