I took 8 lots of Nifty Put 5400 @ 45Rs Sep Expiry . Now at 14 Rs. Are there any chances of correction next week. Cannot afford to take losses. Please advice?

Hi CB,
I am currently trading in cash only.
Would like to clarify the following regarding F&O.
Aug 30 was the ex date for patni dividend of Rs.63.
Hence,the stock price should go down atleast by Rs.50 at the opening on Aug 30.
Is it a good idea to short Patni futures on Aug 29 at closing and cover it nextday at
opening ?
I this case, we are sure that the price will go down by atleast Rs.50 (as ex dividend slide)
Plz provide your expert opinion.

Hi CB, Plzz advice regarding all my holdings....!! holding longs in SUZLON, KS OIL, and HOTEL LEELA....incurring losses even in this zooming market. what shall i do....plzz gimme d levels for monday.what r the targets in near future
also having Ashok Leyland 75 CA.......any chances of it crossing 75 before expiry

Hi Priyanka, Wise, In such cases generally the futures trade at a discount of at least the dividend amount during the record date to the ex-date. So no point bothering about it.
