Hi Kartik / CB, I really need your help. I am in trouble it seems. I had Rs. 58000 -ve margin for few days so yesterday IndiaBulls Admin sold 512 or of IFB Shares to cover this margin. I was left with 143 IFB shares. I already had 20 GMDC and Central Bank and 55 Unitech in my account.

Today when I logged in, I saw not only remaing 143 IFB IND shares, but other Central Bank, Unitech and GMDC shares were also sold by admin. I am not having a single share at this time in my IndiaBulls Account.

Also, it is showing around Rs. -67000 as cash Margin in my account summary. Below is the Margin Report:

Is it normal and tomorrow the shares will be credited back to may account. As I had total Rs. 84000 of share value and they had to cover only 58000, so I can understand selling 512 of IFB IND shares, but I still do not understand why they sold remaining shares and that is also all shares... Can you pleas suggest me.

Hi Rama, Stop Loss (SL) is the price of share you don't want to go below that level. For example, you buy a share at 100 Rs. with the view that it will go to 110 (in intraday or cash), but you cannot afford it to go below 95 so you put Stop Loss at 95. If the share price goes below 95, your SL will trigger and the qnty you mentioned will be sold automatically.. Remember, when you put SL, you cannot put target 110 or any target. Only one thing will work at one time.
