Hi Kartik, Ok. But yesterday they sold 512 of IFN IND and I saw 143 left but today morning when I saw, all shares were sold.. I don't know if they really sold or like a kind of hold till today evening.. What do u understand form this margin. is it that I had shares of 76,573.95 + 9000 odds and I sold of 67000+ instead of 58000 :(

Hi Kartik, Hope things are fine and I will get my shares back. I don't think they can sell all shares to cover their -ve margin and I am left with no shares at all in my account. They can only cover whatever is due.. Right?

Hi Kartik, I also chacked that it is saying that Client (me) sold GMDC, Unitech and Central Bank while I did not. Also, here is my Shortage summary report. pls suggest. Why it is not showing 143 IFB IND?

What is the stop loss? how it to be calculated? pl guide.

Hi Rama, Stop Loss (SL) is the price of share you don't want to go below that level. For example, you buy a share at 100 Rs. with the view that it will go to 110 (in intraday or cash), but you cannot afford it to go below 95 so you put Stop Loss at 95. If the share price goes below 95, your SL will trigger and the qnty you mentioned will be sold automatically.. Remember, when you put SL, you cannot put target 110 or any target. Only one thing will work at one time.

    Hi Rama,

A stop loss is used to limit the possible loss , when a stock unexpectedly moves against your position, thats to save money & minimize losses .

If u are long, Put stop loss below support level ..
