esha, similiar to other stocks, nifty also traded in futures. but u can buy or sell only in lot. one lot contains 50 shares. say for example, currently nifty is 4532 and the nifty future is sold @ 4540. Let me not confuse u more on that and get u a plain vanilla. In a similiar way you place the order for stocks you can also place the order for nifty (provided you have to select the future instead of equity). If you are placing the order on phone with your broker, he will let you know how to do it. This nifty is highly volatile and can fetch u high gain or high loss in a few minutes of time. so be careful when u trade with nifty.

Hi Sree, Do n't invest that much of money in options. Options are very very dangerous
and better go for cash in Stocks that means in Shares. On stocks You can wait till you gets the profits. And the losses also minimum. In Options without your intervention you will get the abnormal losses. Some times they will become zero. As a new Investor do n't go for Options. Options will give the huge returns as well as huge or abnormal returns.
My sincere advice is do n't go for options with huge money. You can invest in one or two lots in different stocks with strategy.
