Hi Suzane, if u r talking of income tax implications it would be same as i explained to Gitanjali.... u will first convert physical shares to demat form... it may involve some stamp duty charges (m not sure of quantum of it).... then u may fill DP slip to trf to a/c of the other person. m assuming that this transfer is without consideration.... i mean its a gift... income tax (more specifically capital gains tax) will be payable by the transferee at the time latter sells it.

Hi Kb, Hi Gitanjali, Hi pankaj, cant this transfer proceed just by sighning the form ... Is it compalsarry to be in demat form ?? What if the first party deal and sign to another as it was done before the demat form rise in stock market ... They dun have demat acount at that time... Simply they use the stamp ticket and processed in a month...
Is that so Physical to physical process are not done these days ??
