Hi CB, I got a pleasant surprise yesterday. I had 198 Tisco physical shares bought by my dad in joint name with me name about 30 years ago. It had some discrepancies in both my name and my dad's name and our permanent address had also changed and I didnt have a joint demat account with my dad, as such conversion of those shares to demat was not done. My dad had lost hope and even forgotten about those shares. Last year in October, I took those shared from my dad and after lots of judicial formalities and with my broker's help finally yesterday evening, I got a SMS from CDSL informing me that 198 TataSteel shares had been credited to my account on a day when TataSteel had given a 7% rally. Today morning, I transferred 50% of them to my dad's demat a/c and gladly sold the rest @ 582.
