    GM CB :-)

My query is on Ashok Leyland and Renuka Sugars. I am worried because of weak closing of US Markets and Weakness(~7% dip) shown by Renuka on Friday. I have booked most (3/4) of the profits in Ashok Leyland, but Renuka is currently my largest holding with minor profits booked.

Can you please suggest the strategy? Specially about Renuka as its chart shows no signs of improvement in its long term down trend. Is it still looking strong?

Ashok Leyland has formed a Harami pattern in candlestick chart on Thursday n Friday. What does that suggest?

Thanks for Ashok Leyland call which has earned me the biggest profit so far. :-)

Hi cb, few clarifications regarding ELSS required:
    1. this is the best tax saving option (highest return amongst other options) right?
    2. is there a max limit what can be kept in ELSS for 80C?
    3. Please suggest 3 top ELSS schemes.
    4. Is there a lock in period for ELSS?
    5. what is an open ended ELSS?
    6. is it advisable to keep money in ELSS beyond the stipulated lock in period?

    thanks in advance...

    Hi Mukherjee,
Since I know answers to most of your questions, I am trying to help. Find answers as below: -
    - ELSS doesn't guarantee the best returns. Rather they generally have conservative returns.
    - You can put as much amount as you want but benefit under 80C is restricted by the IT rules. ELSS doesn't bar u in any sense.
    - You can find their list (with returns) on myiris.com. You can sort base on returns and accordingly buy.
    - Yes, lock in period is 3 Years as specified by the govt. So, when chosing them consider both short term and long term returns.
    - Thats your choice. If returns are good, you may continue. If you had invested for tax benefit only and you see returns not very good, you may withdraw after lock in.

hi cb,i have studied many companies like ds kulkarni, teledata info, which have huge free reserve[cash on hand] and their price in stock market is very lower.for example,ds kulkarni has free reserve of rs.160/share. why should not company buyback of share.are those companies not undervalued?
