Hi Gitanjali, I will not say commodities are not volatile but with respect to Nifty, they certainly look stable. Yes, news, demand and supply does determine commodity prices like crude. Inventory with a particular country or a cartel of countries like the Arab world does have an effect on Crude price. Also look out for Brent Crude and try to corelate the events (and prices) of that with Light Sweet Crude. Try Kitco website for news, events, inventory and charts for Base as well as Precious metals
