Hi anupama, Why you want to buy 1000 shares of one company. As you can buy a stock of 50 Rs. so I assume you have 50k to invest. You can divide your money in 3-5 good scripts for one year or so.. I have list of companies which I prepared with consultation with CB/ kartik and other boarders and few friends who are not in this forum. I am posting the list below. You can select few scripts form the list and buy for long term. Also, add SBI, Axis Bank, HCL in this list. As I don't have money to invest, I did not include these shares..

Hi anupama, These all are good scripts. They will surely give very good return. If I buy them, I will buy with the view of min 3-4 years. But if market is good in next 1-1.5 years (and it is expected as well), we can surely see min double price in most of them and in few, may be more than that. Stocks like Castrol, Central Bank, HCL Tech and Tata's stocks should be bought only. They are not for sell. I am also expecting very good return in Sarda Energy and Lovable if you can hold them for more time... Lovable may become next Page Ind and can see 1200-1500 in 2-3 years or even more in less time.
