Hi champ, It is very simple just multiply the price of options or calls you are buying with the total quantity of shares suppose you buy 1 lot of 5500 call at 10 then it will be 50 multiplied by 10 =500 as 1 lot of nifty consists of 50 shares. Your loss is limited to your buy price i..e rs.500 but selling calls or puts is very dangerous so since you are a beginner always buy options dont sell

I dont think nifty will make up to 5500 in this month because in options 5200 put has pretty high OI following with 5300 and 5400 puts. secondly, ECB meeting and RBI meeting is ahead which will be disappointing. Thirdly, coal scam rupture in parliament is becoming hot and this is also a bad news.There are bad news piling up and putting end to positive news in sep month.Why do you think market should move up and please let me know the reasons apart from technical analysis? just curious to know.
