New Delhi: Reliance Industries reported that natural gas output from its eastern offshore KG-D6 fields has dipped below 39 million cubic meters a day as it shut five wells because of high water ingress.

Natural gas production from the Dhirubhai-1 and 3 gas fields and the MA oilfield in Block KG-DWN-98/3, or KG-D6, in the Krishna-Godavari Basin of the Bay of Bengal was 38.43 mmcmd in the week ended December 25, according to a status report filed by the company with the Oil Ministry here.

The output comprised 31.58 mmcmd from the D1 and D3 gas fields and 6.85 mmcmd from the MA oilfield. The KG-D6 production is lower than 61.5 mmscmd rate achieved in March, 2010, as a drop in pressure in the wells and increased water ingress has led to a lower per-well gas output.

The report said of the 18 wells drilled, completed and put on production in the D1 and D3 fields, five wells- A2, A10, B1, B2 and B13, were kept closed due to high water cut/sanding issues.

hey good to know....congo............but for the weakening reliance killed all other shares today from the morning highs:-( as i was long in many and didnt book profits when i got them.... ..........anyways.........bank nifty still looks strong.... my broker has given a buy call fr bank nifty with target of 86+ and stop loss of 8340 something.... (though i am not too much familiar with fno and such things... i go only long on equities..... atleast we can wait and watch.... i get on the wrong foot whenever i short.... today luckily didnt short mmtc or hindcopp which i thought i should try....all these stocks flew like anything in a matter of 10-15 minutes in the afternoon ..........

not very sure of mcdowell, and i feel its better to stay out of the ambanis and mallya stocks..........my favourite these days is the jsw group....also bought adani ent today, i think it has bottomed out now............planning to go for long term invst in SBBJ after i feel the bottom is over, though current level too looks very attractive.........

For Nifty, there was a strong resistance @ 4780 today and yesterday.
and strong support @ 4740. Yesterday Nifty PE 4700 closed @ 137 Rs.
But while opening today it was opened @ 135 and it immediately went below 130.
It was below 130 till 2 PM.

Nifty PE 4700 is trading at the price range 115 to 142.

My advice is , Buy Nifty PE 4700 when it comes below 120 Rs
